How do you take a complex infrastructure protocol like Zenrock—something technical and not always easy to grasp—and make it not just approachable but exciting for thousands of users? That’s the challenge we faced, and it’s how we helped Zenrock gain 35,356 users in just 29 days.

Zenrock enables seamless cross-chain liquidity aggregation. Impressive, but let’s be real: infrastructure projects don’t scream “fun” or “easy to understand.” This created the biggest hurdle Zenrock (and every other web3 project) has faced: user acquisition.

Real, engaged users—not bots, not one-time clicks. Users who come back, give feedback, spend money, and share it with friends. If you’re launching a token, raising funds, or aiming for an exchange listing, this is the metric that matters. The truth? Most projects hit a wall here. They launch, but no one’s using it. Or worse, they get flooded with bots, inflating numbers but bringing no real value.

So, we designed a solution that could simplify the complexity and make the protocol more engaging—a lightweight Telegram MiniApp. It’s frictionless, widely accessible, and thanks to Telegram’s latest updates, more powerful than ever.

With this MiniApp, we crafted an experience where users weren’t just spamming buttons for rewards. Instead, they were incentivized to learn about Zenrock’s technology, engage meaningfully, and earn rewards for getting involved.

You might think, “Why would an infrastructure project launch a game?” It’s a valid question. Zenrock isn’t a gaming or meme project. But we understood that engaging users required more than technical whitepapers—it needed storytelling and interaction. That’s why we helped them create a character and lore that embodied their vision. This wasn’t just decoration; it was a central piece of the experience. The character gave the community something to rally around, and the lore added depth and continuity to the MiniApp, drawing users into a story they could follow and identify with.

The MiniApp itself was designed to maximize engagement. Users could complete social quests like following Zenrock on Twitter or joining Telegram groups to earn rewards. In-game tasks tied directly to learning about the protocol kept the experience both fun and educational. A referral system incentivized users to bring in friends, expanding the community organically. And we included features like a PvP game mode for friendly competition, a shop where users could customize their experience with boosts and cosmetics, and character creation to give users a personal connection to the lore.

In just 29 days, the results were staggering: 35,356 active users engaging with the app, learning about the protocol, and contributing to a vibrant community. These weren’t bots or users looking for a quick airdrop; they were genuinely involved. A screenshot of the engagement metrics speaks for itself.

But we’re not stopping there. We’re already building new updates, including additional in-game boosts, multiplayer features, and exploring Telegram’s latest fullscreen MiniApp capabilities to push the experience even further.

The takeaway? Even the most technical, infrastructure-focused projects can build thriving communities by meeting users where they are and designing experiences that make participation intuitive and enjoyable. If that sounds like something your project could use, let’s talk!
